Since there is some discussion of this material elsewhere, we provide a link to some preliminary studies by Wilson done on some of Akkoc obsevations and research into Turkish Music.

The later pages show Wilson's investigating the Moments of Symmetry (MOS) scale properties of some of these intervals in regard to using them as generators of scales. We will return to this sometime in the future.
A presentation of documents of Erv Wilson that don't lend themselves to a separate section in the archives yet are illuminating in their thought or implications. Often comprised of sketches or notes found among his papers

The 8-19-27 Proportional Triad
Besides Wilson first proposing the use of the 19th harmonic in the minor, here is another example of using the 19th in a 'dimished' chord. |

11-13-15 Chain
I admit i have concentrated more on 'atypical' directions of Wilson's thought. Such notes as this fill the span of his papers. |

Approximating 12 with JI ratios
Wilson shows how the 1/x pattern can be applied to approximating 12 tone ET by JI intervals. A discussion of the 1/x pattern can be found here under section FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS BY WILSON BEYOND THIS LETTER |

A scale for Rod Poole
One of a few scale suggestions to Rod Poole by Erv Wilson. This one being a 22 tone scale which still includes the Centaur tuning Rod originally based his scale around. | |

Often it is the asides , the very brief and discarded that can reveal something we might not be able to witness otherwise. While we continue in our quest to present Erv Wilsons work in a context that serves it best there are those documents that are too brief to present in a PDF format or fit well being group with other documents. As someone who has worked with his material for over 20 years, often these small gems hit me with surprise .
Also much i found helpful in understanding other things about his work in an elusive and intangible way that is hard to put into words. A blog seems a good form for this work and not quite sure what one could have done otherwise
